Privacy Policy
The law protects the relationship between client and therapist, so information cannot be disclosed without written permission.
Exceptions include:
- Suspected children, dependent adults, or elder abuse; we are required by law to report to the appropriate authorities immediately.
- If a client is threatening serious bodily harm to another person(s), we must notify the police and inform the intended victim.
- If a client intends to harm themselves, we are responsible for ensuring their safety, including contacting family members and/or authorities.
- If we are court-ordered to release information.
